After the death of someone close, is reading kalma on beads okay? And reciting quran completing quran again and again okay?

When someone passed away - the authenticated deeds that one may do is * Make Du'a * Give in charity * Umrah or Hajj on his behalf - these are actions that we may do for them to get rewarded.
As far as Quran or reading on beats are concerned, none of this has been reported.
