Benefits of surah waqiah

As salaamualaikum shaikh ayaaz. Hope u and family are safe. Upon an advice from one of my family to avoid poverty in home, i started reciting surah waqiah every day after maghreeb for many days now. But recently i came across that the hadeeth which narrates the benefit of surah waqiah after maghreeb is daif. So my question is whether by continuing to recite surah waqiah after maghreeb..am i being a part od bidaah?? Should i continue it or stop. Thanks

Wa'alaykumsalaam Wa Rahmatullah wa barakaatouh.

As you mentioned, this hadeeth is weak. It is safest to stay away from hadeeth that are weak and forbidden to apply fabricated hadeeth to our worships and interactions.

What brings sustenance is not what you read everyday, it's how your relationship with Allah is.

What may increases sustenance is the 'constantly asking Allah for forgiveness' as Allah mentions and this leads to an increased in provision.

And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers. [Surah Nuh]

So here it shows that al istighfaar helps in raising someone's wealth.

As well as the hadeeth ,

Anas ibn Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who wants to have his provision expanded and his term of life prolonged should maintain ties of kinship." [Authenticated by Sheikh Al Albaani]

So, it is better to stop focusing on one surah for the sustenance, read any parts of the Quran expecting blessings in every aspects of life.

Keep making istighfaar and Allah will open the way.

Keep ties of kinship and this opens the door of provisions.

Allah is The All Provider, call upon His Name Ar-Razzaaq and ask whatever you need as He is The All Hearer and The responder of our call..
