Witar and tahajud

Question
Asalamalaikum shaik
I complete witar at isha but since few days i wakeup before fajr and praying tahajud and then again praying witar.
Not sure is this a right practice as am praying witar twice every night.
I always think on not praying witar at isha but i don’t want to take risk as i may not wakeup for tahajud.
Please advise.

Apology for the delay in replying , i missed the questions.
In regards to praying Witr twice in a night, the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that there should be NO TWO WITR in one night.
So, if you fear not waking up, you pray it earlier.
If you know you will wake up, you may delay it after Tahajjud which is better.
If you are doubtful about it, then you pray it earlier and then if ever you have woken up for Tahajjud, then pray only the Tahajjud without the witr.
