1_ Taraaweh means a prayer that you pray in the night of Ramadhan. It is prayed at the early time which is after Esha salaah. It is known as a Qiyaam al layl which means Night prayer but in the early time. - Tahajjud is the same prayer but it is prayed in the last third part.
Both Tahajjud and Taraweeh are Qiyaam al layl.
2. The intention of Tahajjud is just to pray in the last part of the night. No specific intention is needed. A normal intention in your heart. Nothing verbally to be said in regards to intention.
3. The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would pray 8 raka'ah of prayers and 3 witr.
This is the report by Aisha, the mother of the believers.
4. There is nothing to be recited between 2 units of tahajjud. You may rest, say the astaghfaar or just stand up and pray the next. Nothing authenticated by any narrations.
5. The preferred time is to pray in the last third part of the night. This is when Allah The Almighty comes in the last sky and say where are those who are asking for forgiveness so that i may forgive them etc .. and this is the time our du'a are being accepted.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven in the last third of every night, and he says: Who is calling upon me that I may answer him? Who is asking from me that I may give him? Who is seeking my forgiveness that I may forgive him?”

6. Yes you can hold the Quran and read from it while praying Tahajjud. The slave of Aisha would lead her in prayer while he would be holding it in hand.
7. Yes you may make du'a in your own language in the witr salah as well as your normal salaah in the sujud., scholars such as Ibn Taymiyyah and others agree to this.
Allah knows best
