Courting

I am in love with a younger man and we share mutual feelings . We have been courting for a few months now and our purpose is marriage in the future . We haven't met each other till now , but only chat online . I am a sunni muslim , but he goes to dargaah . I am trying to make him understand that it is wrong and he is ready to follow the right path . We have shared feelings and our love for each other is strong and stable . I want to marry him only and he wants me only . Please advise me on how to court in a halal way and proper way as mentioned in Islam .. so that we can be together till our marriage [ Inshallah ] .

First of all, your situation is that you need to perform a Nikaah once you two have intended to get marry without delay.

Secondly - he will need to understand the concept of true 'Aqeedah or belief in Islam in regards to the innovation and Shirk so that he understand it well and doesn't cause any friction after marriage.

Thirdly, you may speak to him in a presence of a third person - if you want to know more about him. Speaking constantly without a mahram may lead to a fitnah and private meetings which is not permissible in Islam.
