Multiple Umrah in a trip

Question
Salaams. We see people doing multi no of Umrah's and well to do people doing Hajj. Why our prophet did only 1 hajj?

Wa'alaykumsalaam Wa Rahmatullah.
Yes, people do perform multiple 'Umrah in one trip. We do find this a lot nowadays. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) didn't do multiple Umrah in one trip and neither he (peace be upon him) asked us to do so nor forbade us to do so.
The reason why people do multiple Umrah is because knowing that it may be a one life time trip, so they take the advantage of doing two or three. Some scholars permitted it with the condition that the person goes back to the Meeqat and get into the state of Ihraam and come back to the Haram of Makkah for the Umrah if he wants to do another Umrah.
It is better to keep it one umrah for one trip.
