Sheikh, what is the islamic ruling if a wife seeks seperation from husband due to ill treatment from the husbands family and husband failing to see through? I dont want divorce or khula but just seperation. My family has tried speaking to them but they arent listening and are only blaming us. Can you kindly help?

It is OK to be seperated for a short while in order to refresh - that's fine as long as the wife is safe. If the husband is not giving the rights of the wife - it is OK to ask for Khul' - if a wife doesn't want to be with the husband, then why would she only separate and not ask for Khul' ?
If a wife is in Nikaah - she has to give her husband his rights as well as the children. She cannot just live by herself under the umbrella of Nikaah and she is not giving her husband his rights and vice versa.
